Kiss of the Dragon for Adults Only

(EMPIRE) Jet Li's upcoming film, Kiss of the Dragon is said to be some of his best work yet, but he warns that it shouldn't be seen by children.

Appealing to parents on his official site, the fighting star implored fans to keep younger audiences away from the film. ?The movie utilizes very realistic, hard-core, action-packed fight sequences,? says Li. ?I'm very proud of the final result and hope that my fans enjoy the movie, however, this is a movie that I do not feel is appropriate for children.?

Having been given an ?R? rating by the MPAA, Kiss of The Dragon is open to all audiences in the US providing that under 17s are accompanied by an adult. ?Kiss of the Dragon is an adult movie and deals with adult themes of a man keeping his promise and understanding his responsibilities," insists Li. "The action scenes are also directed towards an adult audience? I ask that you please do not take your young children to see Kiss of the Dragon.?

You have to give Li props for saying this instead of going for the quick buck.  I'm sure this movie is going to be great, and there's no doubt that it will be graphic.

As an alternative, Li suggests you wait a few months for his next film to be released.  The One will have a PG-13 rating and will be released on November 2nd.

I heard the reason that the movie is rated R and not for children, is not because of the violence, but that there is a scene where Jet fights off a team of sexy models.  First there is a problem with the whole battering women thing, but that is not the reason for the R rating.    The R rating is a direct result of his weapon of choice.  He clobbers the  spit out of the Karate chicks by using his wang much like he did a fire hose in "Romeo Must Die".  The scene is fantastic with some very imaginative and creative new moves, like the "Full Moon Over the Shoulder", and the "Doggy in the Back Door".  The scene is so spell-binding and breathtaking, that it will have you asking the question, "How Long is a Chinese Man./?"  How long indeed.  How long indeed.

Buy a book if you enjoy reading captions in a movie.... Movies should have dialog that you f*cking understand, no jibber-jabering. Speaky English. Jet Li is awesome for action scenes. Matrix 2 was a bad one to pass up, but no need for Crouching Dragon, Hidden Tiger (yes this is intentional!)

Bruce's career was cruelly cut short, so it's hard to say how his career would have panned out.
Jackie Chan was in "Enter the Dragon" too - he played a guard in one of the dungeon scenes.
For my money, Bruce was the original & the best. Whilst Chan's brand of slapstick martial arts appeals to the masses, it lacks the cutting edge of Bruce Lee.
Question: Why was "Way of the Dragon" dubbed ???

I'm a huge fan of Chinese Kung Fu, and movies made in its honor. And I can tell you right now that Jet Li can take on Segal, Jackie, and Mr.Lee (one at a time).

I will spare you of details, but Jet Li was #1 in China for a martial arts tournament! That's LUMBER 1!! man! That doesn't mean he's invincible or the best, but it means he knows his stuff, while Jackie learned his stuff from Lion-Dancing in drama school and Bruce Lee MADE up his own crap thing. Jet Li was like 5 hours a day since a kid with the best masters of China!

His American movies were good, but try his earlier ones (I dunno if its been subtitled or whatever). The "Wong Fei Hung" ones where he beats people with long-ass bamboo and wet shirts, and deuls other insane asses from all over China (thers this guy who is masta of kicks, he walks on the ceiling by clinging to the support beam things). Fist of legend was great, (with that break-the-floor-with-your-head general) but "Wong Fei Hung" was trully amazing. It was a great part of my childhood! Go borrow it from your local FOB friend's dad or something!!
