Wolf alleged that he struck a deal with Disney in 1983, which happened after a period of two years after he published his novel. The contract that gave Disney certain rights to the book and its characters in exchange for 5 percent of gross revenue. Wolf wants to audit Disney to determine whether the company has paid him fairly, E! Online reported. The Rabbit film has made about $250 million worldwide. Five percent of that is... quite huge.

I hear you, who gives a crap. If Dtheatre were to announce every copy right infringment, rip off, writing robbery, false credit, and illegal mishap among the Motion Picture industry, that happens everyday, it would take up more space than Dtheatre could muster. All the same, if its true it sucks.

Wheather it be the Brits, the neo-nazis, walking undead, or one of my other fans....I never get upset, its just too lame. The computer and TV are a waste of time (Dtheatre excluded). Then again listening to the Yanks on the radio ain't the same. I'll decide by Independence day.

Supporting the gay communtiy hardly makes Freddy gay. Straight people can support the persecuted gay community just as white people supported the opressed black community during and before the Civil Rights movement, w/o having to be gay. You are such a f*cking bigot. What's worse, is you probably hide behind The Bible as your excuse to hate and fear something you don't understand. Whether homosexuality is a sin or not, you think God would want you to hate and persecute ANY of his children, no matter their sexuality? You're as much of a sinner as they, anyway, so you've no room to talk. As for the claims that Disney supports the gay community, the only "evidence" that people who say such have are as legitamite as that dumb@$$ Baptist preacher's claims that the purple Teletubbie was gay: a series of coincedences based on stupid stereotypes. You're no better than the small-minded racists and bigots who opressed the blacks, or the Romans who persecuted the Jews. F*ck you you small-minded, dimwitted, hate-promoting pr*ck. I'm sure God's real proud of you.
And that was this topic's complete change of subject, as every topic on DTheatre seems to have at least one.

Hiding behind the bible, so what are you saying you don't believe the bible. Don't understand?? What's to understand of 's h i t' packing morons. Gay's do not DESERVE to be supported in any way. And it's funny you use persecute gay's and oppress blacks. Are you suggesting gay acts to be christian-like and perfectly ok from a biblical perspective. WELL get a clue, gay acts are not. Have a nice day 's h i t' packer supporter.

In case you haven't noticed, this sort of is America, Home of the Free, Land of Liberty.Who the hell are YOU to say, "Gay's do not DESERVE to be supported in any way."? What have they ever done to you? I do not suggest it is Christian-like, because I do not give a sh*t if it is Christian-like. And how is my comparison of the persecution and opression of gays to the same said of blakcs funny? You must have a really twisted f*cked up sense of humor. YOU do not deserve to be "supported." And whether or not you think they are evil means NOTHING. They are still PEOPLE and the do DESERVE TO BE TREATED LIKE THEM. You are not God, you are not the government, you are just some close-minded, evil-enforcing, Bible-thumping dumb@$$ who uses a book that's message should be used for its purpose (love God, love each other, don't be evil) as a shield to hide your hate and fear of what is different. I'm sure God is REAL proud of you. You use his Holy Book as an excuse to HATE. Gays are people, and they deserve the right to live freely, pursue happiness, and do what they want like the rest of us because of that fact. So get over it.

What the hell? Why don't you use a complete sentence, or something. None of that made any sense, and the only thing I understood from it was that you are hateful and small minded.

Gay's will all die and go directly to hell!!
I'm not making this stuff up.
If you insist on saying that God is REAL proud of me sarcastically, why don't you do everybody a favor. Pick up a Bible and read it, and see how wrong YOU are! I didn't bring the Bible into this conversation, you did. So perhaps it would be wise of you, to know what you are talking about from the Bible before you open your pie hole.
Of course, you probably just don't get it, and think supporting gay's is fine because it's been accepted legally, so it makes it ok now. It's as wrong now as it always has been!
Murderers, rapists, and thieves are people too, so now they can live their lives the way they want to?....I DON'T THINK SO!! Later, sh*t packer supporter.

Tiny...you total idiot. You are referencing the old testament. Try reading what Jesus really had to say, think outside the box, which is what Jesus did. He had a great mind, he preached acceptance and love. He avoided and even shunned the Pharisees because of the rigid and judgemental ways, you are following the path of the Pharisees but in an even more destructive way.
If Jesus was alive today he would be among the outcasts of our society preaching their inherent worth and need of love and compassion.
In short Tiny, unless you change your small minded ways, you are the one that is going to burn. And I hope I can stick the fork in your sorry ass when you're done you sorry sick f*cker.

You're one of the ignorant people that thinks that the old testament doesn't apply anymore! It's in the Bible, so yes it applies. Everything does! And please if you people are going to insist on bringing the Bible into this discussion, remember not to twist what it says, like Jesus saying to be accepting. What are you thinking....?, that when the Bible said that "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads." Leviticus 20:13
You think it was joking?
Have a nice day all of you homo-supporting sh*t shoveling morons.

Oh also, something about me referencing the old testament....well here's a reference from the new testament....
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders
1 Corinthians 6:9
So much for me referencing the old testament. Like I said before, please know what you are talking about before you bring the Bible into this conversation. Have a nice day sh*t shoveling supporters.

I think most of Leviticus is made up by the people who held the pens. I mean, c'mon, Gos is all knowing, right? then shouldn't he know better than to call Bats birds? (Leviticus 11:19) Besides, most of the stuff in Leviticus and the Old Testament, nobody holds remotly sacred anymore, including yourself! "Whatever...goes on all fours or has many feet., all the swarming things that swarm upon the earth you shall not eat, for they are an abomination."(Leviticus 11:42) Can you really claim you've never eaten a hamburger or steak? Not to mention the entire CHAPTERS of Leviticus that tell you exactly how, when, and what you should sacrifice an animal to atone for things and so forth, which $10 says you've never done in your entire life. Hell, I could turn to any random page in Leviticus and be able to point at something that you and everyone else have violated. So what's the deal? You get to break all these rules set in leviticus, yet opress gays because they've done the same? In case you aren't as up on your Bible studies as you claim to be, the Bible does say that no sin is greater than the next. Which makes you just as bad as the gays. Looks like you're gonna die and burn in hell right alongside them, you hateful f*ck.

I believe that you are right. If Disney doesn't owe him anymore money, then why CAN'T HE LOOK @ THE BOOKS just to make sure that he isn't going to be short changed? I was going to write cartoons for these characters and they just threw my dreams away. I have to side with GARY K. WOLF on this.

here here.... disney shouldn't be trying to hide the amount of money that movie has made... not to mention the royalties off of merchandising from the time following the release, plus any likeness's of his characters used elsewhere in disney's cartoons. Intellectual property has become quite valuable in recent years.. regardless of how popular it is.
