Anyone seen Pearl Harbor, and was it worth a $10 ticket?

Many of my friends (Film buffs, indie-filmmakers and the lot) have said it's a total waste of time save the special effects. On the other hand many a film watcher has said it's the greatest thing that's hit the theatres since "Titanic".. *cough*

I'm not sure weather I should see it or not, yet.

It seems (to me) that it's a little to "hollywoodized", y'know the kinda story where they take an historical event and adulterates the facts thoroughly with love stories and overwhelming drama.

You are both idiots.  Take it at face value.  It is obviously not Academy Award material.  It is just there so we can all get our rocks off, and nothing more.

I went, I saw, I soiled my pants.

I hope that some respect for the people that fought and died in WWII is gained through this and other movies.  (Saving Private Ryan).  This movie has more love story than some would like.  It is obvious that Pearl Harbor used Titanic as a model.  Both are/were blockbusters, but I think Titanic already received the awards for this genre.

Yes, it definitely fits right in there with Titanic. Basically a bunch of people dying and a lot of romance added.

Although I forgot to mention that I have a wicked crush on Ben Aflick, I mean just look at the guy, he's friggin gorgeous. Just watch the damn movie and eat your pop corn and shut the heck up. Jack, your a putz, 100% American, you and your stupid country can kiss the United Kingdoms Ass!

Saving Private Ryan was a much, much better film.

All of the inferior United Kingdom people need to go back to cave-dwelling, as the real world is far too much for them to handle.

Sorry, guys, but personally I think that it is the best show ever!  It is my favorite, especially since it has Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett in it. Don't rip it too bad 'cause it is the greatest! And remember to sit back and relax when you watch it because Hollywood can do whatever they want to make a movie... and also remember that it is FAKE!

Altogether the show Pearl Harbor is pretty good.  The best thing about it is that there are two hot guys and one dang lucky girl!
