After horrible ratings for the inaugural season of the "extreme" football league (worst television ratings in history), NBC and the WWF have pulled the plug in the XFL. "He Hate Me" is no more.

What a shocker.
Instead of ripping on the NFL, and calling them "rich, heartless wimps", they should have embraced the NFL as well as Glory bound College Ball, and marketed themselves as a back yard leauge that would be a lot of fun to embrace, and get in to. The wrestling schtick only goes so far, and there is a reason those guys are not in the NFL. When McMahon said the Pro's couldn't hit, I knew his leauge would be baloney. Those are the hardest hitters on the planet.

Oh God! It's about time! McMahon had all of his hype backfire in his face! Nothing will compete with the NFL, sorry Vince. Man, I couldn't wait for the pain to end.

Very true, trying to topple the NFL was a stupid ploy from the start, add in the wwf factor and a bunch of strippers and that spells... well, not success. Not to mention horrible announcers that make your ears bleed, we all hated Dennis Miller on monday nites but we still get to watch a good game.. Mabye they should have put the effort into football not flash. As crazy as the Pats make me I think Ill stay with the NFL (hehehe not that the xfl ever had a chance in my book)

Woo Hoo! Go away, I remember seeing land mines and such in the commercials, and some canons, what happened to that? They should have just played football without protection, maybe One person might have watched that, making the million dollar investment worth while.
