Fox has sealed a deal that will keep "The Simpsons" animators and stars making new episodes for two years. What's more is they're getting a ridiculous amount of money to do it ($100K an episode). Read the full story here.

Good for them, they deserve it!
As the highest rated show on FOX, they damn well better get those raises, compared with the less than funny show Friends whom get paid I think a mil per episode, with LeBlank that show would be called "Girls".
The Simpsons movie will not come out till the series ends which hopefully will not be for a long time. Also keep in mind that only 70% of the shows are sindicated, which means that a lot of great episodes including the first 3 seasons (the best by far)have not yet been re-released.
Keep your MTV, Oz, Sopranos, West Wing ER....I want my Simpsons

Ok, I'm as big a Simpson's fan as they come, I've been watching since they came out and I've seen all the episodes, so... Has the world gone mad? Did you guys stop watching 3 years ago? I just watched the newest episode an hour ago, it has gotten to the point where I can barely stand to watch it anymore. It is so utterlly horrible and ridiculously stupid that it shouldn't even be on the air anymore. I think they should have stopped airing when Homer became waste-management chairman and filled Springfield with garbage. The voice acting is just as good but the writing could be beaten by the writing on Barney. Please come to your senses people, the show stopped being good about 2-3 years ago, it doesn't make sense any more and it's just plain horrible, they should pay Us to watch it.
