Strange but true: Chow Yun-Fat, recently well known from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon will pick up where John Travolta left off, providing the voice of the alien Teri in an animated version of L. Ron Hubbard's novel Battlefield Earth, according to news from Variety. Despite the fact that the painfully horrible movie reaped the Razzies, awards for the worst movies made, Pine Com International has committed to producing 20 one-hour episodes of the animated series.
Travolta played Terl in the motion picture version of the story, which was torn apart by both fans and critics alike. Despite the heavily negative reaction, producers have said that they are at work on a sequel, in which the story will cover the events that happen in the second half of the novel. Someone in the movie industry is definitely have a bad drug reaction. And my review of the first movie is summed up in two words: It Sucked.
And as for Chow Yun-Fat voicing Teri for the animated series, I'm still feeling confused and speechless. Now feeling a rush of nonsensicality, where's my green tea?

Okay, Chow Yun-Fat is another good Actor, However Battlefield Earth was not or a good movie, It did SUCK! as well as the "lead Actor". Why on "Earth" would if true, would Chow Yun-Fat agree to a cartoon re-make of a flop!

Shoot, I didn't think BE was THAT bad. Slow character development yes, but the final third of the movie was good "no-brainer" fun. I agree this was not a Red October, but i've seen alot worse. Vulcan

As long as the animated series is based on the BOOK and not the movie, I'm willing to give it a look see and will try my best to keep my expectations, good or bad, to a minimum. Let's all hope for the best shall we?

Man...what the H E double hockey sticks! What can you say when mindless drones continue to give money to producers/writers who have lost the creative ability to do something original. I understand the book to be good, but I haven't wasted my time seeing the movie. The only comment I can leave is that a very well connected friend of mine says that John Travolta has been in litigation with the Church of Scientology because they did not cure his "Homosexual tendencies".

You are obviously a dangerous idiot who should be avoided at all costs.
If you want to read a real book go read something that isn't a cult recruiting pamphlet.
