As quickly as the ban was enforced, it was also lifted. The Australian state of Victoria has lifted its Good Friday ban on showings of the film The Exorcist: The Version You've Never Seen, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The ban was imposed by the government of Victoria for fear of offending Catholics, but apparently the wrath of theatre owners and civil liberties groups was stronger. Never underestimate the political power of large groups.

Censorship is taboo, and should be after it is suppose to be a free country. But I do wonder sometimes as the govs of not only australia, but the usa try hard to remove such freedoms. Passing laws which make no scence.

Proper spelling is apparently taboo too, huh?
