Alien abductions are boring. I prefer mowing down swarming minions of space bugs with a high powered rail gun, with highly charged sexual scenes as filler.

He's only PRODUCING, people. It's hardly going to be "E.T" or "Close Encounters". Let's not forget those other classics, also produced by Spielberg, such as "Batteries Not Included" and "The Flintstones". And what producers bio would be complete without mentioning "Innerspace". Give me a break.

You make it sound as if all of Spielberg's producing efforts were horrible! Did you forget the "Back To The Future" movies? And "Innderspace" is a good movie, dammit.

batteries not included was one of the best sci-fi films ever made. It actually had a novel plotline. Of course some people can never get enough quarterpounders and boring alien/sex/ethnocentric tales of adventure.

You are a dork. By the time space travel will be a reality we will all be one race due to interbreeding. How about that geek, is that a PC enough theory for you?

After X-files, Dark Skys, Fire in the Sky, not to mention the old 60's show The Invaders, what possibly could Steven S. have to say about alien abductions that was fresh, new or otherwise interesting?

I agree my species is likeable, unlike yours. Maybe your offspring with my mother will have some hope of humanity.

Let's face it: Spielberg can direct, there's no denying that. But, as a producer, he's only interested in getting his name on a film. And whoever said "Amazing Stories" was great has obviously been abducted and had their taste and common sense removed.

Hmmmm....Let's see...
Humans in telepathic contact with aliens (CE3K, ET) are abducted and accidentally left on the alien homeworld (ET), where they learn that the aliens fear light, water, and eating after midnight (Gremlins) and are repopulating their planet with genetic recreations of dinosaurs (Jurassic Park).
The humans help the dinosaurs escape (Schindler's List), evading killer sharks (Jaws) and giant spiders (Arachnophobia) with the help of a DeLorean (BTTF), 3 puppy-like children (Animaniacs) and agents J and K (MiB).
Sounds pretty interesting to me...

I think Spielberg has lost the plot. What about the forthcoming "A.I." It looks more like "Bicentennial Boy". Gone are Speilberg's hard edge days of "Jaws" and "Raiders". "Private Ryan" was his best work in 15 years. Want to produce, Steven? Produce a good film.
