"The Job" Premieres Tonight on ABC

Denis Leary's new comedy about a stressed out NYC cop airs tonight on ABC. The hard hitting, sometimes vulgar comic is likely to bring success to the tired genre of police drama. Check out the review of the pilot here.

I find it interesting that Denis Leary more often then not either plays a an Irish Cop or an Irish Theif..

Irish ansestory yes, but he was born in Boston, Massachusetts, USA (on 18 August 1957 not that you care)

His parents: Nora and John Leary were Irish immigrants. He is also Conan O'Brien's cousin which makes him very much Irish.

I'm going to add that he's 6'3" so that you all know I know a little too much about Denis Leary! :)

he didnt actually come across as irish when he appeared in demolition man as edgar friendly one of the underworlders.
