Death On "Spider Man" Set

(E!) A crew member was tragically killed in a construction mishap on the set of Sam Raimi's Spider Man in Los Angeles yesterday.

As the crew worked to replicate the top two floors of a 1930s-style building, a crane hauling a large metal cage (which contained a sign) suddenly toppled over on its side, according to a spokesman for the Downey Fire Department. The sign was meant to be placed atop the facade, which stood 20 feet above the ground.

The falling crane smashed into a platform on which two welders were working. The swinging cage struck one of the two men in the head, killing him. The other welder escaped injury. The accident happened shortly before 9 a.m. PT.

None of the cast was present at the time of the incident, as filming on that location isn't scheduled until later this month.

Tragic. Where is  a good jolt of spidey sense when you need one?

Hopefully this  tragic death won't be a starting a series of detrimental facades that will plague the most sought out movie for us Spidey-people

"A SPIDEY PEOPLE?"  At least we comic fans know proper grammer.  Good luck getting a decent job talking like that, kid.  And the caps are annoying

All of us should grow up someone died, who cares about "grammer" or spidey people. There are deaths on a lot of movie sets, (like Brandon Lee) but that is not a reason to put people down. We should have repect for the dead and let the movie makers, move on to make a good movie.

this page is for the guy who died..... please let's remember that, without the likes of him there would be no movies at all.

How about making a movie about this guy who goes around correcting everyone's grammar?

People dies and what you do is just to care about your stupid f**king movie!! You bunch of viced kids, I hope for you that you grow up and you never experience what the family of that man is experiencing now.
I don't give a damn about the movie. I hope that there was a responsible for the security and that all the measures were in place, otherwise...

why not think a little bit about the man who lost his life while trying to bring some entertainment into ours!

Comments aren't for correcting a person's grammer............. they are for dicussing the stated article!!! So just stop talking about the stupid little grammer problem!!!!! It's really annoying!!! That people are arguing about grammer when someone has died! I think the dead person problem is alot worse then some absolutly stupid grammer!!! Though I do agree about the grammer thing. "Spidey" isn't a word.... as far as I know anyways.

*whew!*
With deep regret already, even in light of this poor welders unexpected demise, this thread is the funniest thing I've read in a while. I mean, it really is.
If we're lucky, the welder is logging on right now, is some other universe (or something deep like that) and he's reading this. And laughing. Like me.

I'll bet the welder could have sustained (sp?) the head injury if he had eaten more yams.
