In a newspaper interview, Alicia Silverston once said; "I think that Clueless was very deep. I think it was deep in the way that it was very light. I think lightness has to come from a very deep place if it's true lightness."
Which is with out question as the Plain English Campaign put it "the most baffling verbal statement of the year". The remark left the awards panel clueless -- or as John Lister, spokesman for the Plain English Campaign, told the BBC: "That quote left us all scratching our heads and that's exactly what the Foot in Mouth award is all about."
This once again helps answer the question Could Alicia Silverstone Really be Clueless?
