Shooting for Tomb Raider definitely gets Angelina Jolie traveling to a lot of places. But in Cambodia's famed Angkor Wat temples, Jolie won't be able to pack any pistols during the filming there, according to a report from the AP. However, her bodyguards can still harness weapons.
In general, foreigners are not allowed to bring weapons into the country, and it even applies to movie stars. Although for this round, the Cambodian government will make an exception for Jolie's protectors. Cambodia earlier granted the production permission to shoot scenes in the landmark temples.
"We believe it's only a problem of procedure," Cambodian spokesman Khieu Kanharith told the AP. "After all, prime ministers visit with armed bodyguards." And so, the logic applies similarly to persons of similar VIP status. And as everyone *should* know, Jolie plays the one and only: Lara Croft.
