(Yahoo!) This week, a reporter asked Travolta if he was planning on doing a sequel to Battlefield Earth. Otherwise known as as the single worst science fiction movie ever made. And he replied: "Sure. Yeah."
"The bottom line is that I feel really good about it. Here I was taking big chances, breaking a new genre," said Travolta. He also believes that it is becoming a cult classic over the Internet(better check that again, John), as well as gaining an audience overseas.
This awful film was considered the "leading candidate" that swept the Golden Raspberry Awards (the award for the worst out of Hollywood) this past year.
Well, hopefully Travolta will get out of his slump. He's been in a few less than stellar films as of recently. Maybe it's time to give Tarentino a call to see if he can work something out. Why he still thinks that there is hope for such a horrible movie as Battlefield Earth, we may never know. Hopefully, he'll come to his senses and reconsider the one movie that could best its prequel for "the worst movie ever made."

I'd have to disagree there.. I think that Hubbard's stuff is sub-par and is probably the crappiest of all scifi creations...

Cool off, folks. The book is a classic Pulp Fiction. Is it trash? Yes. Is it fun? Yes. It's not War & Peace, but I'd rather read it any day of the week. It could have been a great action flick if... well... scientologists hadn't made it! Oh well, that's life.
