Billy Elliot's Sexuality Questioned

Billy Elliot is the story of a talented young boy who becomes torn between his unexpected love of dance and the disintegration of his family. Granted a creative concept for a movie, and critics everywhere are loving it, but 14-year-old Jamie Bell who plays the title character, has discovered that not everyone is a Billy lover.

The young actor explained how when he returned to school after having become a star over the summer holidays: "The first day back was a bit weird because some of the younger guys at school were a bit jealous. They started saying, ?We?re going to beat you up because you kissed a lad?. I was shocked because I?d totally forgotten about the kissing scene in the film. They didn?t attack me but it was something I was threatened with."

My advise for the boy is, look to star in masculine roles while still in school.
