Move Over Neo, Jet Li is The One

(Fox News)The One is a story about a cop who must fight his evil double from a parallel universe in order to save himself and the world from total annihilation. I hope this is cooler than it initially sounds, but as long as Jet Li is in it, I'll remain confident it will be good.

Production is supposed to start in January. The other "big news" about this film is that Li is replacing wrestling star, The Rock, who took a different role in a movie titled The Scorpion King. Because of Li's acceptance of the role, the script is being re-written.

Currently, Li is filming Kiss of the Dragon in Paris with The Fifth Element director, Luc Besson. And as most of us know, he will probably be starring in The Matrix sequels.

Sweet Jesus that was CLOSE! Can you IMAGINE what a bloody mess they would have made putting a wrestler in the Matrix?? "Hey there agent Smith? Can you smell this crap the Rock is cooking??"

Actually "The Rock's" Cookings whould have been in "The One" not "The Matrix" but I don't see what casting director would see enough in common with the 2 of them that he would make it one or the other..

It was my understanding that Jet Li was no longer going to be part of the Matrix sequels.  As far as I understand, he did not get the monetary offer he was looking for so he turned down the role.  After that I read the Michelle Yeoh might be taking that spot in the Matrix sequels.  So is he or is he not going to be in the Matrix?
