Nudity on the Today Show

NEW YORK (AP) ? A unidentified woman surprised "Today" show viewers ? and host Katie Couric ? Wednesday morning by opening her shirt and baring her breasts on the air.?

The flasher struck at about 8:30 a.m.?as a camera panned a crowd of tourists and passers-by gathered outside the show's Rockefeller Center studio.?

"Today" quickly cut to Couric at the Republican convention in Philadelphia, where she had been watching on a monitor.?She appeared slightly rattled, but didn't mention the stunt.?

NBC publicist Allison Gollust said the incident was "the first of its kind" since the show began broadcasting from its storefront studio six years ago.?

And hopefully there will be more...?I might actually try watching those live broadcast shows if this happens more often.?

Only East Coast viewers, where the show is broadcast live, caught the act.?Tamer crowd shots were used in other time zones, Gollust said.?

And since I'm on the west coast, damn it!
