Interview: Lew Morton (Futurama)
By Jack, (DT)
June 30, 2000 1:25 PM PT
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (and a few other things).
?And the earth was without entertainment, and happiness; and darkness was upon the face of the earth.
?And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be entertainment: and there was FUTURAMA!

And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was good.?

Okay, so perhaps the creation of Futurama wasn't quite so...?well, Biblical.?But it was created by animators and people who write for FOX.?Daily Radar caught up with Lew Morton who wrote some of the all time classic episodes ("Mother's Day", "A Big Piece of Garbage," "Fry and the Slurm Factory," "Brannigan, Begin Again," etc...) and managed to interview him.

Read the interview to find out how he scored "the gig" and about "the Futurama writing experience", what bender can and cannot get away with, and much more.?Read on..
