(SB) - Universal Studios Orlando theme park said Tuesday that it will officially open its new "Men in Black: Alien Attack" ride -- "the world's first life-size, ride-through, interactive video game experience" -- on Friday.?Will Smith, who starred in the movie, and Rip Torn, who played a featured role, appear in the attraction, in which, according to a company statement, "guests (and the aliens) determine each ride's outcome by their individual and collective abilities." The blurb explains that players "actually step into the movie" and fire laser guns at "aliens," scoring points in the process.?The aliens can also fire back (but it was not clear how much injury they might inflict).?The ride ends with a 30-foot-high bug ("the largest animatronic ever built") devouring the game players' vehicle, leaving them no choice but to shoot their way out of the bug's body.
