This is a true story that centered on the adventure of Aron Ralston, a mountain climber. After falling and wrecking his bicycle, Aron decides to take a hike in the long stetch of canyon in Utah. Along the way, he meets and joins two female friends. Together they had one great adventure. But later on Aron, while traveling alone, makes an accidental fall. A boulder falls and crashes on his arms, trapping him in the process.

Not ready to give up, he summons all his courage to set himself free, and to hike for eight more miles before getting rescued.
