Cholinergic Urticaria Information for Those With Hypersensitive Skins By JackDavidson, (DT) September 15, 2010 12:22 AM PT |
Cholinergic Urticaria: Is your skin too sensitive?Cholinergic Urticaria is a type of physical urticaria that is most related to body heat reaction. This means that anything that can trigger a sudden increase in your body temperature can lead to this type of urticaria. Some causes may be too simple and common that you would hardly notice, while others maybe related to activities that you do once in a while. Strenuous activities like exercise, or jogging directly under the sun that can cause you to sweat a lot are examples of such causes. Others like bathing in saunas and hot showers can also lead to Cholimergic Urticaria. Food intake can also cause cholinerfic urticaria, such as eating spicy foods. In other cases, heat that is generated internally such as blushing or being angry can act as stimulus as well. Cholinergic urticaria is most visible through skin rashes that can appear anywhere on your body. People who have hypersensitive skin that can react to sudden increase in their body temperature would almost certainly experience these rashes, or hives as other people refer to it.
Treating this form of physical urticaria can be difficult for many people. The main reason is that they are completely unaware of what triggers it, specially if they are already used to their routinary activities and it so happens that those routines are actually related to the symptoms. The best way to treat Cholinergic Urticaria is to try to identify what exactly causes it, which is gonna be a case to case basis. More information can be obtained from this guide. |
