30 years ago, Andrei Filipov was a highly celebrated conductor in Moscow. His career took a steep fall when his political beliefs made him an outcast, thus ruining his career. He was so depressed and took a life as a hard drinking janitor. An opportunity knock at his door when he came across an invitation that was intended for another group to perform in Paris. Sensing a chance to bring back his glorious days, he comes up with a brilliant plan: to impersonate the Bolshoi and steal the show. He has two weeks to organized and assemble his former orchestra.
