Civilian personnel records center located at St. Louise is the place where a search for civilian conservation corps records and any other military records can begin.

The center houses official civilian records as well as medical civilian records. You can find old civilian records (records from the 1800s) however most of the records date from 1900s. Civilian records can be requested by submitting a dated and signed request. Requests made by email or phone are not accepted.

Why people search for civilian personnel records?

Anyone interested in getting copies of civilian personnel records should be aware of the fact that 120 days after separation the records are transferred to the National Personnel Records Center. If the records you are after fall into this category you will need to direct your search there. The good news is that the search process at the NPRC is pretty much the same - you will be asked to complete a request form and in some cases get authorization signature of the person (or their next of kin) whose records you want to view.
