How to obtain army national guard records.National army records can be found at The National Archives. The National Archives is located in Washington, D.C. Some of the army national guard records are kept by The National Military Personnel Center - one of the biggest departments of The National Archives. Army records can be requested by veterans, soldiers, next of kin of veterans or other legal representatives as well as by members of the general public. However there are some records that are not available for public access unless approved by the owner of the records or their authorized representatives. How to request army national guard records.
In general most of the records can be requested free of charge. In some cases however there might be fees for requesting specific records. All record requests are answered for about 20 working days however sometimes a search may take longer. |
