Where I can find my army discharge record? Many people wonder "Where are my army records kept?" or "Where to find army discharge records?". US army records are managed by the National Archives and The National Personnel Records Center. You can get a copy of your army discharge record as well as any other military record by filing an official request. Awards and medals replicas can also be requested. Getting a copy from your military record may take some time. First you need to complete a request form. The form used to request your military record from the National Personnel Records Center is SF 180. Copies of records managed by The National Archive are done by submitting DD Form 214. The time required for processing the request is different for every case and it can take up to one year especially if you have requested replica of your awards or medals. Is there a faster way to obtain my army discharge record? |
