How old are old court records?

Many people wonder how to find old court records. Apparently the obvious way is to go to the court where you suppose the records are filled and make request for old court records. This may sound quite easy but in reality it is not. First you will need some time to actually go to the court and file your request. Than you will need to pay a fee for every public record you want to view (this may vary among courts). An finally it is very unlikely that you will get the old court records right away.

A better way of searching and accessing old court records is online.

Old Bailey court records access.

How to Find Old Court Records? Click here ! Court records are in electronic format for several years now. Old court records are also digitalized and indexed in the same databases where new court records are kept. This is why a large number of court records can be also accessed online. For instance Old Bailey court records have been already digitalized and now anyone can search among records dating from 1600s.

The best place to search for court records is at a large public record database that is connected to all government public record resources. This way you can rest assured that all available court record libraries are checked. Another serious advantage of online search is that you don't need a lot of information in order to find what you need - the name of the person whose records you need to find is more than enough.
