MicroSoft and Liquid Audio Inc.?are working to compete against Real Networks and Launch.com by offering more than 50,000 songs and 1 million music previews in Windows Media format.?Mac and Linux users have been reported to be pouting all over the world.?They also plan to integrate Windows Media into the Liquid Player software.?RealAudio seems like a much better choice from the user's end, but on the provider's end they are really expensive to license software from.?I'm not sure how Windows Media licensing compares, though.?Read more...
