After his self relevation as Iron man, Tony Stark got persistant demands from the United States Government to turn over his powerful weason suit. Instead, his rival Justin Hammer was tasked to duplicate his suit. In the meantime, new danger emerges in the person of Ivan Vanko aka Whiplash, who created his own alternative suit with the sole purpose of exacting revenge on the Stark family.
