Forty years have passed since the death of Harriet Vanger in the island owned by the powerful Vanger family. A great mystery surrounds that death since no body was ever recovered, and not one evidence ever existedo on record. Mikael Blomqvist, a journalist and crime solver, was hired by Harriet's uncle Henrik in order to find out the real cause of death, and the real killer behind it. To aid Mikael, an equally mysterious bike rider Lisbeth Salander was called in. Lisbeth is a girl with the dragon tatoo who at the same time has a psychological and violen nature. Nevertheless she is the best research and a computer hacker.
