This is a story of a disgraced cop who is assigned to a remote town to take the mysteriously vacated marshal position. Robert (Jacob Cedergen) was a Copenhagen cop accused of professional misconduct and assigned temporarily to provincial Danish town of South Jutland. Not being used with the life in the country, Robert finds himself having a hard time to fit in with the community where odd and bizarre people are living. He was surrounded with peculiar people with uncivilized behavior making him eager to find out what is wrong with them.

During his stay in the strange town, Officer Robert started to know his surrounding and was convinced that the deviant feeling that he had before was not because of culture shock but because of its disturbing secrets.
