Vince Rizzo (Andy Garcia) is a long-time resident of fishing community in New York. He makes his living as a corrections officer and also has a dream of becoming an actor. Ashamed to admit his aspiration, He secretly took acting classes in Manhattan making his wife (Juliana Margulies) believe that he is only playing poker during his free time. On the other hand, while at work he recognized a prisoner as his son from another woman. He decided to bring home the young man and pretend that he is only his guardian.
