The Last station is a German biographical film of Leo Tolstoy that was also based on the same novel written by Jay Parini. It is about a Russian writer and philosopher who have a restless life during his final years. His marriage life with Sofya Andreyevna is troubled making it more complicated as his partner and his chief adherent waged for his soul. Being disturbed with what's happening about his children, professed doctrine, excessive wealth and life of indulgence, he had a dramatic journey and felt too unhealthy to go beyond the tiny rail station at Astapovo believing that he's dying alone.
