Mel Gibson stars as a detective in this film. When her political-activist daughter calls him on the phone that she's coming home, he sees nothing wrong with it and even looked forward to seeing her. But a sudden turn of events unfold when they came home and her daughter gets killed in what news indicates was originally intended against him.
