Saint John of Las Vegas features the life of a gambler named John (Steve Buscemi) who once lived in Las Vegas and used to have plenty of bad luck. Trying to run away from the Sin City and wanted to get his life back on track, he ends up in Albuquerque with a dull but stable job in an auto insurance company. From there, he started his life anew and had a budding romance with his sexy co-worker. But fate seems to lead him toward temptation as a window of opportunity begun to open requiring him to go back to Las Vegas and make some investigation to a suspicious fraud incident. He was paired with an experienced investigator who supposes to be the leader but John became even more aggressive in solving the case.
