 The White Ribbon is an Austrian-German drama film written and directed by Austrian Michael Haneke. The story happened in 1914 just before the World War I in the Northern German Village, which talks about acts of vandalism and terrorism, at the rise of national socialism. It started in a village of Protestant Northern Germany where there are children's choir managed by the school teacher and their families. They experienced horrendous circumstances which they consider as ritual punishment.
