Before taking your Xbox 360 apart, gather all your tools and also other objects such a piece of soft and clean cotton cloth, a couple of painting brushes with soft tips, a small bowl, etc. While you are taking your Xbox 360 apart use the bowl to put in the small screws and nuts so that you don’t lose them. The DVD player and the hard drive should kept on the soft piece of cloth. Use the soft brushes to remove the accumulated dust inside the system.

First put you middle and index fingers in memory slot and simultaneously place the thumb at the bottom of your gaming console. Pull off the front plate steadily but smartly using the thumb as a lever and it comes right off. You will see the silver Microsoft seal. Break the seal but before that you should know once you break the seal your warranty gets void.
