Nicolas Cage plays the role of roque detective in the streets of New Orleans named Leutenant Terrence McDonald. As a good cop, he was a well recognized member of the force. He later suffered from back pain that keeps him at bay, and drugs. One bad thing lead to another, and soon Terrence finds himself in big trouble in the hands of a big time gangster. Playing fast and loose with the law is his specialty, as he makes a deal with another gang leader in order to make some illegal cash.
