Ellen and Leo live with their daughter Jackie in New York. They are living a great life: Ellen being an emergency-room surgeon, and Leo being a businessman. Because of their tight schedules, daughter Jackie is raised and taken cared of full time by their live-in Filipina caregiver Gloria. Gloria herself is often bothered by calls from his son in the Philippines, who would always ask for her mother to come home. Leo goes on a business trip to Thailand, gets involved with a woman he met at a club.
