In 1991, an underground circle of musicians was formed. Together, black metal rose as an explosive and yet mysterious form of music. That same year, massive cases of murders, suicides, and arsons on churches created quite a scare all across Norway. These notoriety was believed to be connected with this group. This documentary film seeks to portray the inside story of this highly sensational, controversial and ultimately misunderstood movement.
