Based on an extraordinary true story, this movie portrays how the life of a poor, oversized and uneducated teenager changed after a new family took him in. The Touhys, a well-to-do white family, offered Michael Oher, a homeless teen, a shelter to live in. Michael finds himself sleeping in a room all for himself, entering a decent school, and a lot of challenges to face. He worked hard on his studies, eventually improves and matures, and with the help of his coach, discovers his potential as a football player.
