It looks like a vehicle to for the big name duo of Denzel and Travolta. The Taking of Pelham 123 has actually been around the block a few times. It started life as book in 1973, was made into a movie staring Walter Matthow in 1974, and a made for TV movie in 1998. See the awkward trailer below, along with the original trailer.
