Mutant Chronicles Trailer Unifies Human Kind By OrigamiSuperfly, (DT) January 23, 2009 6:22 PM PT |
![]() First of all the production design is amazing. It has a steam punk feel to it, borrowing from classic design in a futuristic setting. Near the beginning of the trailer I was afraid that it would be an over ambitions half rate sci-fi number, but once you see Malkovich things get interesting quick. The story could be a winner too, nothing gets me to the edge of a seat quite like the fate of humanity hanging in the balance. One thing I would say though, is that the story seems too complex for a short movie, or even one movie. Hopefully its nice and long, or they wrote with sequels in mind. Mutant Chronicles started life as a pen-and-paper role-playing game in 1993. This is only the latest of media spin offs, including video games, books, comics etc. Below for your enjoyment, the trailer, and a \'mood pice\' the filmmaker produced on a small budget in 2005.
