Weaving a high school murder mystery and fast, witty banter that really pushed the movie forward. This movie seems based a little more firmly in reality than Brick, while keeping that detective feel. Complete with clients hiding the shadowy parts of rooms, half lit faces, and segway ridding police officers, it looks to carefully walk the line of retro and modern.
