The Boat that Rocked Trailer By OrigamiSuperfly, (DT) December 8, 2008 11:12 AM PT |
![]() In the 60\'s, the BBC played only two hours of rock \'n\' roll per WEEK (mostly Creed, I\'m sure). The great and noble people of England found sanity in the absolutely coolest way possible, pirate broadcasters! In it\'s heyday, over half the population of Britain listened to pirate radio every day. Not only were the ships operating in a legal grey area, but every audience member was actually breaking the law, listening to \"unauthorized\" broadcasts. For the rouge DJ\'s lucky enough to actually be on the boat, it must have felt like the epicenter of rock \'n\' roll culture. I had my doubts at the beginning of this trailer, but as soon as Phillip Seymour Hoffman popped up, I knew everything was going to be OK. As an added bonus, you get Nick Frost! I think it\'ll be pretty good, but I\'m sure your parents will enjoy it even more. Hell, go together!
