New Watchmen Trailer, Four Months Still to Wait By OrigamiSuperfly, (DT) December 4, 2008 4:12 PM PT |
![]() Studios have been trying to make this movie for nearly 20 years now. It was deemed unfilmable by would-be director Terry Gilliam. It then migrated to another studio, and was dropped again due to budget disputes. Finally it was picked up by the original studio, Warner Brothers, and was given to director Zack Snyder following the commercial success of \"300\". \"300\" was completely worthless, but I think Snyder can be an excellent director given a better screenplay. Flipping through the book you can tell many of the scenes are pulled strait from the comic, just as it should be. However, unlike \"300\", Snyder opted to rely less on chroma key and use more real world sets. On a side note, the song from the first Watchmen trailer, is a Smashing Pumpkin track from another superhero flick. It\'s \"The Beginning Is the End Is the Beginning\" from the Batman and Robin soundtrack, which sadly was more entertaining than the movie. New Watchmen Trailer
