'O.C.' creator to write next 'X-Men' movie By Swift, (DT) May 2, 2008 5:05 PM PT |
![]() In an interview with Blackbook's Nick Haramis, Josh Schwartz -- creator of Fox's "The O.C.," The CW's "Gossip Girl" and NBC's "Chuck" -- announced that he is writing a script for the fourth big-screen installment in the "X-Men" saga. Not surprisingly, given Schwartz's familiarity with the teen world, he said the story will focus largely on the teenage students living at the Xavier Institute. (Makes sense, considering half of our original favorites were killed off in "X-3"). But while he's going to be shining the spotlight on some obscure faces, he promises he won't be coming up with any new, ridiculous characters. ?I?m very well aware that I?ll be bludgeoned by purists," Schwartz said. "But I love its mythology, and it comes with a pretty hefty paycheck.? Oh well. At least he's honest. |
