Disney plans High School Musical 4 By Swift, (DT) April 8, 2008 3:58 PM PT

Shooting hasn't even begun on the upcoming "High School Musical 3," but that isn't stopping Disney from looking to the future -- and a fourth installment in the series. According to Disney Channel Worldwide chief Rich Ross, "High School Musical 4" is currently being written. He also said he hopes the entire cast will return, but is reasonably doubtful. I know "High School Musical" is a huge hit and it's making a lot of money, but would it really have been so bad to end it as a trilogy? I guess since there will always be kids out there who enjoy it, the madness may never end. We're getting into "Police Academy" territory here, Disney, and I don't like it one bit.
