Yahoo TV is offering a free sneak peak at the upcoming Terminator TV treatment, The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Lena Headey stars as the mother of humankind's only hope in the role originated by Linda Hamilton in the films. The preview is available for only 24 hours, so get it before it's gone. Watch it here beginning Friday, Jan. 4, at 9 p.m. (PST). I'm really hoping this show is as good as the film franchise it's adapted from. The Terminator universe is a terrific world for a serial drama, so if this one goes wrong the producers only have themselves to blame. Sarah Connor Chronicles tells the story of a mother who must protect her son from time-traveling robotic assassins, with the help of a time-traveling protector and an FBI agent who kicks ass despite being from the present. The cast includes Summer Glau as a friendly Terminator and Thomas Dekker as John Connor. Richard T. Jones plays the FBI agent. The series kicks off Jan. 13, with a follow-up episode Jan. 14.
