Guillermo Del Toro To Resurrect Frankenstein By Jack, (DT) January 3, 2008 11:05 AM PT

Yesterday director Guillermo Del Toro told MTV that he's planning "the definitive take" on Mary Shelley's monster. But, he says he doesn't want to film a literal telling of the novel "The only way to do the Shelley novel is to actually do a four-hour miniseries,? he said. "But I think there are permutations in which you can tell the myth in a different way." The project is still in its early stages of development. But, Judging by his knack for adult fairy tales such as Pan?s Labyrinth, Del Toro's "definitive take" on the character may be something worth looking forward to. Watch the full interview at MTV.
