Trailer for Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream

Did anyone else besides me completely not realize until 10 minutes ago that Woody Allen\'s Cassandra\'s Dream opens across the USA on January 18? I\'m no marketing expert, but my gut tells me this film has been badly hyped, especially considering it stars both the endlessly charismatic Ewan McGregor and the lame but popular Colin Farrell. I mean, this trailer that I\'m about to post is the first time I\'ve seen anything about it, and I only found it because I was randomly reading about Manhattan (read: procrastinating).

Watch the Cassandra\'s Dream Trailer

Dream appears to be another very serious thriller by Allen set in England. Like the awesome Match Point it looks to feature beautiful British scenery, an orchestral score, and to resemble a typical Allen flick in no way whatsoever. The trailer also looks bland as hell, which may be why it hasn\'t been hyped very much. Farrell gets in over his head owing some money to some crime dude (Tom Wilkinson—stellar), and he and Ewan have to kill some other dude to pay it back. Oh, and they\'re brothers. Bo-o-o-o-ring. Of course, Match Point didn\'t have the most original plot either, and I loved it. But I have no such expectations for Dream; a Woody Allen trailer should never stylistically resemble the Untraceable trailer. This one has desperation written all over it.
