Connelly Joins The Day the Earth Stood Still Remake By Wescoat, (DT) December 21, 2007 1:19 PM PT

Looks like principal photography has begun in Vancouver BC for 2008's remake of 1951's The Day the Earth Stood Still, meaning it's only a matter of time before Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly FINALLY appear in the same movie together. It's the on-screen duo we've been dying to see! Will the sparks fly between Hollywood's hottest, blandest leading man and its hottest, blandest leading lady? Reeves will play Klaatu, who in the original film was a rather dashing, very human-looking alien who was assisted by a big, menacing robot named Gort. Connelly plays a scientist who is investigating the presence of Klaatu. So, maybe just maybe something will transpire (while she's taking a "blood test" perhaps...), and we'll all be treated to some hot interspecies lovin'.
